Mercantile Freight Services (Pvt) Ltd (MFSL) was incorporated in1990 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercantile Shipping Agencies Ltd.

The principal activities of MFSL are Non Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC) operations, international freight forwarding, Customs House clearing, cargo consolidation/deconsolidation, multi country consolidation, packing, household removals, door to door service, project cargo and import cargo handling.

The Company is a member of Sri Lanka Freight Forwarders' Association (SLFFA) and International Federation of Freight Forwarders' Associations (FIATA). The Company also has the approval from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka to operate as a freight forwarder. MFSL has its own multimodal transport bill of lading covered by a through transport insurance cover.
